I agree completely.
We are definitely on this path.
If he will forgive me for calling him out - this is one of the reasons that we recently hired @shadinio (his team page). He has extensive previous experience with SkookumScript and in addition to making SkookumScript even more awesome one of his main tasks will be to create small tutorials and small to mid-size games.
The mandate for the entire team is to create examples and games continually - to eat our own dog food - so we know where to make SkookumScript better and to make such examples public for everyone to see and experiment with them. Besides, working with SkookumScript can be really fun and we want to create with it too.
We've been spending a lot of time building up the company aspects around SkookumScript (I'm filling out necessary forms for government research funding right now) and making sure the core tech of SkookumScript is solid and ready for inclusion in the Unreal Marketplace. It has been a very long road and thankfully that destination is in sight. With the UE4.11 update, the Unreal Marketplace is code plugin capable and the SkookumScript UE4 Plugin should be in the next Marketplace update.
Thanks sincerely for your offer to help. The community around SkookumScript is important and we intend to give back and magnify any contribution when we can. I can't wait to see what everyone will create!
